It’s no secret that the Bioshock series is getting a remastered rerelease. The rumors were rampant a while back before 2K Games finally pulled the lid off and officially announced it in June. And today, we’ve been invited in to see just how much prettier the Lighthouse is.
There’s Always A Lighthouse
Thanks to 2K Games, a new trailer dropped today entitled Bioshock: Revisit Rapture. It’s our first solid glimpse at the remastered world with a fitting introduction from Andrew Ryan himself:
“I am Andrew Ryan, and I’m here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? ‘No!’ says the man in Washington, ‘It belongs to the poor.’ ‘No!’ says the man in the Vatican, ‘It belongs to God.’ ‘No!’ says the man in Moscow, ‘It belongs to everyone.’ I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose… Rapture.”
With Ryan’s words echoing throughout, we get a quick tour of the remastered Rapture. The game looks just as you would probably expect it would – albeit a tad pretty thanks to a fresh coat of paint. Check it out for yourself:
Bioshock: The Collection is a combo pack of the original game, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite in one remastered collection. The trio of games will also include all of the released DLC add-ons. Bioshock 2 does come sans its multiplayer component – which almost no one will care about. We’re not too far out from The Collection’s release either. We’ll be revisiting the world of Rapture on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 13th.
