Amazon Prime just got even better.

Amazon Prime has now begun offering a 20% discount on pre-ordered games as well as new releases. This discount applies to physical copies of the game only. (Sorry, digital only people) Amazon is defining the “new release” window as the first two weeks after a game has been launched. So there’s plenty of time for you to get the discount even if you forget to preorder a game.

The discounts are automatically applied at checkout. There is one very important thing to keep in mind though. This offer only applies when the game is shipped and sold by Amazon itself and not from a third-party seller. Release Day Delivery is also free for Prime Members and they get pre-order price guarantee as well.

If you’ve been on the fence about subscribing to Amazon Prime, (which costs $99 per year), perhaps this will convince you. You also get free two-day shipping, and access to Amazon Prime Instant Video (which is home to some fantastic original shows).

I’ve already preordered a few games today. Which games are you excited for this year? Let us know in the comments below.
