Following a trend that Sega started with Typing of the Dead, Valkyria Chronicles, and the Sega Mega Drive Collection, they are bringing another iconic franchise to PCs. As of today, Bayonetta is available for purchase via Steam.

“There’s More to Come!”

Sega teased the reveal last week and made it official today. For those unfamiliar with the series, Bayonetta is “one of the most universally acclaimed character action games of all time.” Here’s the full synopsis:

“Bayonetta is the last survivor of an ancient witch clan who keep the balance between light, dark and chaos. Entombed to protect herself – and the world as we know it – Bayonetta is discovered and revived after 500 years, sparking a chain of events with cataclysmic repercussions.

Thrust straight into battle, with only one clue to her past, Bayonetta must discover the truth and fight for the future. Her daunting conquest sees her face off against countless angelic enemies and giant foes in a game of 100% pure action.”

Bayonetta won’t be the last Sega published entry to hit Steam either. John Clark, Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing for SEGA Europe, said that the company is “dedicated to bringing high-quality, best practice PC conversions of our back catalogue games to our fans, and Bayonetta was a great fit.” “There’s more to come,” said Clark. We’re excited to see what “more” is.

You can pick up the game right now for $19.99.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
