What do you get when you cross the world of Warhammer with American football… for the second time? Blood Bowl 2, of course! The game has now officially launched, and to celebrate, Focus Home Interactive has released a new launch trailer.
While the game itself is renowned for its gory, glorious chaos, the trailer seems to inherit that trait in a distracting way. It’s only a minute and a half, but none of it is has focus. It’s all over the place and nearly impossible to follow. It’s riddled with mundane in-game commentary and quick jarring cuts that almost hurt your head to watch.
Aside from the trailer, the game proper seems to be doing well enough. The PC version of Blood Bowl 2 is currently at 74 on Metacritic after 7 reviews. The console versions only have one critic review at this point, but it’s an 80 if you’re interested. For those unfamiliar, the publisher describes Blood Bowl 2 as “an explosive cocktail of turn-based strategy, humor, referee bribing, sports skills and brutality.”
The trailer is just below if you’re curious. Blood Bowl 2 is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
