Atlus has released a brand new trailer for The King of Fighters XIV that shows off the fighting game’s signature brand of action right before E3 2016.
The trailer focuses on the game’s Korean team, named Team Kim, which is led by the game Tae Kwon Do specialist Kim Kaphwan. The other two members on his team are his experienced teacher Gang-Il, and female fighter Luong, who is romantically involved with Gang-Il.
You can check out the entire team in the brand new trailer below:
As you can see in the trailer, Team Kim looks to be a force in The King of Fighters XIV. The three Korean fighters will also be a team of heroes in the game’s single-player storyline, as their goal is to fight for justice and rehabilitate ne’er-do-wells. Those are pretty noble goals, and what one would expect out of a national hero like Kim Kaphwan.
While they are the focus of the new trailer, they only three of the 50 playable characters that the 3-on-3 fighting game will feature. Series fixtures such as Terry Bogard and Kyo Kusanagi will return, but new faces are popping up as well. 19 new fighters have entered the fray since the last King of Fighters tournament was held.
Aside from the trailer, Atlus also revealed that the game will be getting a limited edition SteelBook case for those that pre-order. In addition to the pre-order bonus, they also announced a premium version of The King of Fighters XIV. For $79.99 players will get a 144-page art book, a 3-disc soundtrack, and a collector’s box.
