Pokémon Go

If you’ve checked out of Pokémon Go, like many have, you may have missed that Niantic put on a Halloween promotion. It turns out, this was quite exciting for the remaining fan base. Niantic ended up spiking their profits from within the game once more. So, the obvious answer was to of course  do more. And they are. Daily.

You’re Soon to Frantically Wake Up In a Cold Sweat Wondering if You Caught a Rattata Today

At the concludes of the Halloween event, the Pokémon Go developers were quick to announce that daily bonuses were soon to be implemented into the game. Because of course, “more bonuses, more fun!”, they say:

“We want to provide you a detailed look at a new feature coming soon to Pokémon GO – Daily bonuses! Trainers will soon be able to receive a bonus for certain daily activities, including catching a Pokémon or visiting a PokéStop once a day. You’ll earn a larger bonus if you do this seven days in a row!”

Breakdowns are as follows. Catching at least one Pokémon a day will earn you a daily bonus of 500 XP and 600 Stardust. Doing this for a full week straight will net you 2,000 XP on the seventh day and 2,400 Stardust.

More bonuses come to those that hit their PokéStops as well. Checking in once a day by “spinning the Photo Disc” (that’s what they’re called?) at a PokéStop will get you 500 XP and “a number of additional items”. Make that happen for seven straight days and you’ll get 2,000 XP and “a greater number of additional items.”

I’m guessing Niantic just hasn’t come up with what the item rewards will be at PokéStops yet. Or, we can just be more hopeful and think to ourselves they have something cool up their sleeves. I’m sure it’s the former.

No word yet when the Pokémon Go daily bonuses will officially launch. Should be any day though.
