detroit: become human

David Cage, the mind behind games such as Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls briefly hopped on stage during Sony’s press conference to announce Detroit: Become Human, Quantic Dream’s latest project.
A few years ago, this real-time rendering was used as a tool to test the potential of the then just released PlayStation 3. The video features and android, Kara, as she gets assembled and prepared for shipping.

Things suddenly take an unexpected turn when she shows symptoms of being a sentient being. As she is quickly disassembled to run diagnostics, she begs her creator not to do so, to the point where he agrees to let her walk among the others.
Detroit: Become Human is the natural sequel to that video and sees Kara exploring the her freedom as she becomes part of the population of the city. Whatever happens to her is to be discovered through the game.
