Deep Silver, publisher of the upcoming Dead Island 2 announced via twitter that Yager, the then developer of Dead Island 2 will no longer be developing the game.

This of course leads to three obvious questions, A. Why? and B. Who will develop the game now?

Unfortunately there are no real answers at this point, as that’s all Deep Silver decided to share with us.

As for our take on the matter, it definitely is a questionable decision, as it seems that Yager seemed to have a good direction with where the game was going, and it definitely is a blow to Deep Silver as most if not all of the current development has to go down the drain and start over.

Well as always we’ll keep our ear to the ground and give updates to the story when things arise.
