Dying Light: The Following

Just a couple weeks ago Techland was touting the “bold game-changers” they planned to implement “to create one massive expansion.” Now we actually get a glimpse of what they were referring to. Hot off the presses I present the new trailer for Dying Light: The Following.

At just under a minute, it’s short but sweet. The gist? “Discover the untold chapter of Kyle Crane’s story.” Techland has surmised the expansion’s plot, stating that “Dying Light: The Following will see Kyle Crane travel to a hazardous outback ruled by mysterious and fanatical cultists whose beliefs have unnerving connections with the zombie outbreak. The developer has also promised that Crane will venture a “massive new area that’s as big as the original maps of Dying Light combined.”

It’s also abundantly clear that Techland is pushing the idea of buggy on zombie violence. Whether it’s just plowing through a horde of them or mowing them down with automatic weapons via a drive by. It sure seems satisfying either way. Those buggies will be fully customizable, and you’ll be able to upgrade them with their own unique skill trees.

The release date for Dying Light: The Following is to be determined, but Techland has announce that it will set you back $14.99. However, if you have purchased a season pass, the expansion is zip-zero-zilch. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear details as to when Dying Light: The Following will arrive.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
