Nintendo gave us the World Premiere of Star Fox Zero right at the start of their E3 Nintendo Direct. The title is said to be a “reimagining” of Star Fox 64 and features a bunch of new gameplay features that are unique to the Wii U console.

In Star Fox Zero, the Arwing has got quite the upgrade. The ship is now capable of transforming apparently at will. It can convert into a two footed Walker, the Landmaster, or the drone like Gyrowing. The aforementioned Gyrowing sends out a small bot that can help Fox search nooks and crannies throughout levels. At a quick glance, the bot actually carries a striking resemblance to Rob the Robot.

Star Fox Zero is planned to launch Holiday 2015. Checkout the E3 trailer below.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
