Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

After a rocky start to their grand finale, Sony finally showed off the goods: a game play demo of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

The demo started out rough. Sony essentially pulled the “one more thing” card and dropped the mic to a game play demo of Uncharted 4. Unfortunately, after the intro cinematic, no one cared to get Nathan Drake moving within the demo. His character model just stood there for about 30 seconds until someone behind the scenes with Sony or Naughty Dog hit the reset switch.

The demo restarted and all was well from there. Nathan and Sully are trying to reach Sam and encounter heavy resistance in doing so. We see a typical Uncharted shoot out followed by Nate and Sully having to go off-roading in a jeep while being shot at by foes. While avoiding harm, the duo go back and forth with their typical sarcastic and playful banter. You know, the stuff that makes Uncharted special.

While chasing an enemy convoy, their jeep goes from off-road, to road, to roof tops. Nothing couldn’t be handled in their 4×4. Until they run out of road, that is. Drake then makes an impromptu decision and leaps from the vehicle and attaches a grapple hook to the convoy he’s chasing. Unfortunately – he didn’t see the huge wall in front of him. Cue a cut to the title screen. Uncharted 4, folks.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
