Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 (full name Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue), has joined the pre-E3 hype fest today. The upcoming HD collection has solidified itself a release date, and spiffy new trailer to boot.

The game is now officially scheduled to launch worldwide in December of this year on PlayStation 4. The new trailer takes a look at a few monumental scenes from several different entries of the series. Those specifically mentioned include “Aqua’s battle against the Heartless in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage, new HD gameplay from KH Dream Drop Distance & new scenes from KHχ Back Cover that sheds light on the mysterious Foretellers!”

This specific game, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 (we know, it can get confusing), takes aim at an HD rendition of the events that took place within Dream Drop Distance,  Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, and Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage  as mentioned above in the trailer’s description.

If you’re a fan, take a gander at the new E3 trailer below and get hyped for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8‘s release later this year.

Also, for our overseas friends, Square Enix revealed that Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is headed to iOS and Android devices in Europe sometime soon. So there’s that…

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
