Steep E3 2016

The last game announced during Ubisoft’s E3 2016 press event was Steep, a completely new IP which combines extreme sports and a fully explorable recreation of the Mont Blanc area, a mountainous zone situated in the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps.

Steep will allow you to play online with your friends or other people from the community, share your tracks or simply challenge other people by defining the rules of each match. As you explore the world, you will be able to meet other people that are attempting to master the various tracks and sports. These include, among the others, snowboarding, paragliding, and skying. Although we were only shown game-engine footage, it seems the developers have put some effort into creating a visually pleasing recreation of the Alps.

Steep will be online for a long time”, was the promise that closed this year’s E3 for Ubisoft, suggesting that the game will be receiving numerous updates in the future and that the project might include DLCs or other additional content. While we weren’t given a definitive release date, Ubisoft is likely to talk more about Steep in the future.
