The Walking Dead

A couple of days ago it was revealed that both Batman and The Walking Dead were scheduled for release later this year from Telltale Games. We suggested that the latter may stay in the shadows in order to fully embrace the Batman’s entrance into the Telltale fray. Turns out those thoughts may have been premature.

The official Telltale blog revealed this morning that The Walking Dead Season 3 will indeed be making an appearance at E3 this year. The studio is calling the event “one of our biggest and most pivotal showings for Telltale yet.” Exciting stuff. Turns out IGN has the scoop, and we can check it out Sunday afternoon:

“This Sunday, we’ll be revealing a sneak peek at the all-new season of The Walking Dead – The Telltale Series. There’s been a lot of speculation since the conclusion of the previous season in 2014 on where the story will go next… and we’ve been working hard in the studio as well as with Robert Kirkman and our friends at Skybound to take the series in an unexpected direction.

What we can tell you now is that this new season will serve as both a bold new entry point for the story, as well as a continuation of the saga that began with Lee and Clementine in 2012.”

So while we learned something – we really learned nothing. IGN will be streaming the game’s “first look at the new season” on Sunday, June 12th at 3:00 p.m. PT, 6:00 p.m. ET. We’ll see you there.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
