EA Access

Are you a Xbox Live Gold member? Do you enjoy free games? Well have I got news for you! Beginning today (January 19th), EA has opened up The Vault and allowed the masses (well, just Gold members) free access to their library of EA Access titles.

Major Nelson dropped the news earlier today on his blog. EA’s Access Vault is currently host to 14 titles:

  • Battlefield Hardline
  • EA Sports UFC
  • Battlefield 4
  • FIFA 15
  • Madden 25
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • NHL 15
  • Titanfall
  • Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
  • Need for Speed Rivals
  • NBA LIVE 15
  • Peggle 2
  • FIFA 14
  • Madden 14

EA touts that “with EA Access, members can play new EA titles before they are released for a limited time and save 10% on all EA digital purchases on Xbox One. You’ll be among the first to download and explore Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, Unravel, EA Sports UFC 2, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and other new EA games.” The bottom line is: their free games for a week. Jump in and see what you like with no strings attached.

The program is dubbed EA Access Free Play Days and will run from January 19th through January 24th. If you jump in and like what you see you can continue on as a paid subscriber at the cost of $4.99 a month, or $29.99 for the entire year. Whatever game progress you make as well as your Gamerscore and Achievements collected will carry over from your Free Play Days to your subscription ones.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
