During Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference, the company took some time to show off Metal API programming tools. Actually, Apple gave the stage to Epic Games to do so.

The two companies have a lucrative history together. After all, the Infinity Blade trilogy is one of the most impressive games on iOS platforms. But the development duo wanted to show something new for iOS users at WWDC 2015. So Epic Games announced that their in the works sandbox survival title, Fortnite, is coming to the platform.

Epic also announced that the game will be headed to OS X and PC platforms as well. They plan for a closed Beta of Fortnite to launch later this year. Checkout the trio of screenshots below and give the new trailer a whirl. We’ll see what Epic has in store for us next later this year.
