Is that time of the month again, folks. No, not that one. It’s that day that happens just twelve times a year where we learn which games are landing onto our Microsoft consoles thanks to Xbox’s Games with Gold program. Let’s take a peak!
“February’s Games with Gold is for Lovers, Pirates, and Force Wielders”
That’s a hell of a headline which comes courtesy of Xbox Wire’s Editor in Chief, Will Tuttle. Lucas Arts is taking over the Xbox 360 side of things this month. From February 1st through February 15th, gamers can download Monkey Island 2: Special Edition. While the latter portion of the month gives us access to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Monkey Island 2 garnered an excellent 86% on Metacritic, while The Force Unleashed held down a respectable 73%.
For the Xbox One, the month of February hosts “the lovely co-op space shooter”, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Released back in September of 2015, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is an action-platforming title which a current Metacritic rating of 82%.
Finally, from February 16th through March 15th, everyone with Xbox Live Gold and an Xbox One can grab Project Cars. It’s a sim racing title that resides at a 83% Metascore. And of course, as always, all Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles can be downloaded on Xbox One as well courtesy of Backwards Compatibility.
Set your reminders and renew your subscriptions if need be. We’ll be back next month to report on what’s coming up later down the pipeline.
