Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars Celebration is such as wonderful time. You know throughout the event we’ll poised for buckets of Star Wars goodness. Disney didn’t hold out. And as expected, we got our first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

“It’s Time for the Jedi to End.”

Disney and Lucasfilm does a masterful job of whetting our appetites while really delivering nothing of substance. And it’s not like the clip is a mere thirty second short. It comes in at a meaty two minutes plus. We get a lot of Rey beginning to become in-tune with her force powers. Brief glimpses of Poe and Finn. And a couple shots of Kylo Ren – well just being Kylo Ren.

The cinematography comes across as brilliant in just a short amount of time. You can tell Luke is frustrated and tired. How that plays into the film’s plot is still a mystery of course. But the plot will definitely focus on he and Rey’s relationship to be sure. Again, there are some cool shots in the two minute span but nothing that really allows us to break the framing of the movie down.

It all culminates with a killer quote from Luke Skywalker. “It’s time for the Jedi to end,” he says. What it means, we couldn’t be more excited to find out. Checkout the trailer below. Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
