Well, it looks like someone took a page out of Fallout 4‘s playbook. Just a day after Bethesda pulled back the curtain on its very own in-game theme park, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare shows off one of their very own. Introducing: Spaceland.
This One Is Going To Be A ‘Thriller’
Spaceland is the new Zombie mode poised to debut in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Set in the 80’s, the environment reeks of another throw back game – Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The game very purposely plays on your 80s nostalgia. The soundtrack is iconic 80s, and the entire setting is riddled with the attire and neon lighting that you would expect.
This is no World at War Zombies mode either – its very clearly just mean to be fun. You can see zombies in the trailer actually breakdancing to the soundtrack. And each of the 4 playable characters takes on a mantle suitable to the stereotypical archetypes of their time. PlayStation’s YouTube channel recently published the below trailer. They describe the mode as “a radical, action-packed journey through an all-new ‘80s setting with a most excellent soundtrack from the era. Think you can survive the night?”
It really does look enjoyable. If you’re fine with Spaceland not being the ultra-serious zombie mode we’re used to. Give the trailer below a gander and get your stone washed jeans ready. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on November 4th.
