Since the Nintendo Switch reveal last week, people have been clamoring for more details. Nintendo stated that we wouldn’t know anything further until 2017. And they weren’t lying.
It’s Going To Be A Long Two And A Half Months
Nintendo, thankfully, didn’t leave us in a post Switch reveal frenzy for long. The company came out today on their official Twitter and Facebook pages to announce that we’ll be getting more details in January. See their Tweet below:

It sounds as though they will be foregoing their recent Nintendo Direct presentations for a more full scale event in Tokyo. The press release that they issued states that the showing “will be an event for invited media, financial analysts and trade partners in Tokyo that will be globally”.
During the unveiling, we’ll get the Nintendo Switch price, games line-up and release date. Which I can confirm because the press release directly states that we’ll get “the launch date and pricing for Nintendo Switch, as well as a look at the lineup of games currently in development.” So there.
All we can do at this point is wait, folks. It’s only 77 days until January 12th. Try to hang in there…
