Pokémon Go

Niantic is proving to be quite busy as they continue to build upon Pokémon Go. Just yesterday the developer spoke about Catch Bonus implementation. Today – Gym Training is getting an upheaval.

You No Longer Have To Train Solo Anymore

The developers over at Niantic revealed that Gym Training is going to get a bunch easier for folks. In an upcoming update, you no longer will be forced to train with just one Pokémon. Instead, you’ll can go it with your core six:

“As we continue to make improvements to Pokémon GO, we have made an enhancement to the Gym experience for Trainers of all levels. In an upcoming version of Pokémon GO, when training at a friendly Gym, Trainers will be able to bring six Pokémon to battle instead of one. In addition, the CP of the Pokémon you are training against may be temporarily adjusted lower during your training session to generally match your Pokémon’s battle capabilities.”

While those dominating the meta game may take offense to this, it will do wonders for those still in the adolecent levels of the game. Niatic acknowledges that, stating “no matter what your level, you can now have an impact on your team’s Gym.”

No word yet on when the Catch Bonuses and Gym Training changes will be headed to the game.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
