What a wonderful way to wake up on a Wednesday! With just six (six!) weeks until the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony and Marvel and hit the publish button on the film’s 3rd (and presumably final) trailer.
“Good Evening, Peter. You Have 576 Possible Web Shooter Combinations.”
With the details in today’s newest trailer, it’s appearing that Peter’s Stark built suit is FAR more advanced and tech enabled than any of us realized. There’s apparently an onboard A.I. within it. She advises Peter of the above quote about the 576 different web combinations. A plethora of other little details we’ve seen throughout. And a nice little twist at the end.
It turns out, as Parker’s friend hacks into his suit’s code, that there are a ton of features the suit has installed that Tony has put behind lock and key. Fitting hidden behind the “Training Wheels Protocall.” My guess is that Peter gains access to these features without Tony’s knowledge. Then he gets himself into trouble as we saw in the 2nd trailer. Which then causes Tony to take the suit back entirely.
But my final prediction? Afer the suit is taken from Peter, he goes on to save the day without it. And come the end of the movie, he realizes that he doesn’t need all the fancy gizmos that Tony has bestowed upon him and decides to keep his suit much more simple. Cool – but simple.
Additonally, a separate International 3rd trailer hit the web this morning too. It actually might be better, and more plot focused that the first. Checkout them both out below. Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7th.
