Injustice 2

It appears as though DC loves them some Breaking Bad alumni. While Jonathan Banks did a superb job of voicing Jim Gordon in Batman: Arkham Knight, DC, WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have tapped Bryan Cranston to handle the voice over for their first Injustice 2 trailer. Yes, folks, the game is finally official.

The trailer is all CGI, so hopefully we’ll be getting a look at some actually gameplay during E3. The mood is consistent with Injustice: Gods Among Us, it’s dark and pretty brutal. In other words, on par for a NetherRealm outing. We can’t gleam much from the trailer, which consists of Flash, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, and our first newcomer – Supergirl. But there is definitely some new mechanics at work in the form of new power armor. Everyone in the trailer dons their own variation of it, and it’s sure to be a focal point of Injustice 2.

There’s also a possibility of Cranston voicing a character within the game itself. He has this curious line that possibly points to a certain constantly resurrecting villain: “Each time I enter the pit, I emerge reborn.” Could this be a line of dialogue from the game itself with Cranston voicing the role of Ra’s al Ghul? Time will tell.

Other than the trailer, we have the following description from the game’s YouTube channel:

“Build and power up the ultimate version of your favorite DC legends in Injustice 2. With a massive selection of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Injustice 2 allows you to personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear. Take control over how your favorite characters look, how they fight, and how they develop across a huge variety of game modes. This is your Legend. Your Journey. Your Injustice.”

The trailer revealed a 2017 release date, so we probably won’t have the game in hand anytime soon. But take a look at the super trailer below and keep your fingers crossed for more information next week.
