After a few days of rumors and hints, the PlayStation Twitter feed has made it official. The highly touted indie title, Inside, is hitting the console later this month.

PlayStation 4 Owners Are No Longer On The Outside Looking In

Developed by Playdead, Inside took many people by surprise when it allowed gamers to go hands-on with it during E3 this year. It garnered great reaction on the show floor. It thereafter quickly released on the Xbox One on June 29th to rave reviews. The Xbox One version currently maintains “universal acclaim” per Metacritic, with a Metascore of 93. Quite impressive.

Trophy lists had leaked in regards to a PlayStation 4 version of Inside, but nothing was ever announced as official. Until today:

Per the above Tweet, Sony has confirmed that Inside is headed to the console in just a few weeks on August 23rd. The game will go toe-to-toe with the juggernaut that is Madden 17, but it’s likely that the puzzle-platformer differentiates itself enough that the comparisons won’t have an impact on the game’s PlayStation 4 sales.

You won’t have long to wait before getting the game in your hands, PlayStation 4 owners. Until then, checkout the trailer released today to whet your appetites…

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
