It is what seems like a busy week for Focus Home Interactive. After announcing yesterday that the company is working toward the release of Farming Simulator 17, the publishing brand released a statement today confirming that Insurgency: Sandstorm, sequel to the 2007 Insurgency, is bound to see the light of day in the near future.
No specific release date for Insurgency: Sandstorm has been given yet but the press release hinted at some of the core features this upcoming title will sport. Built in Unreal Engine 4, the game will include a brand new story mode along with the iconic multiplayer and co-operative scenarios. You’ll be able to deploy into a visceral combat experience delivering immersive and enjoyable first-person gunplay and to choose from an arsenal of firearms as you battle your way through the Middle East.
Developed by American studio New World Interactive, Insurgency: Sandstorm is set to be released somewhere in 2017 and will be playable on consoles and PC. Strong with the success achieved by the original Insurgency, which sold more than 2.3 copies on PC, the developers are sure they’ll be able to deliver another engaging experience. More information about New World Interactive and the company’s creations can be found on its official website.
