If you’re a Chicago Blackhawks fan you’re having a great month. After prevailing over Steven Stamkos, and Tampa Bay Lighting winning their third Stanley Cup title in six seasons, Blackhawks fans have more to crave with NHL 16

NHL 16

Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Kane will be sharing the cover  of NHL 16, which marks the first time in the hockey series two athletes appeared on the cover. This isn’t the first time Toews, and Kane appeared. In NHL 10 Patrick Kane was the cover athlete, then Jonathan Toews in NHL 11.

According to For the Win Jonathan Toews found out immediately winning the Stanley Cup. “(We found out) actually in the crazy (Cup) celebration on the ice,” Toews said. “We had a bunch of people coming to us, the EA people, the NHL people, and Kane and I both work with the same agent, and they told us what was going on. We had to take the Cup and try to get a quick picture with it in the corner, and that’s when I realized that they were telling us we were (really) going to be on the cover of the video game. It was all too much to take in.”

NHL 16 hits the ice on September 15, 2015 in North America and September 17, 2015 in Europe for Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
