Justice League

Assemble! Wait, wrong team… The Justice League is ready to “come together” though, and we’re not all that far away from seeing what that looks like. Warner Bros. dropped a new trailer over the weekend, and the team appears to be gelling nicely.

“I’m Rich”

The trailer does a great job of giving every individual member a few moments to shine. Jason Momoa’s Aquaman may be in line to steal the show though. Batman actually comes off a bit weak. He doesn’t do much except recruit heroes and drive the Batmobile apparently. Which is something that Barry Allen notices as he asks Bruce exactly what his super powers are. “I’m rich” he replies. Yes. Yes you are.

The no semblance of plot in this trailer though. Much like The Avengers‘ kree army, there’s generic alien fodder to kill throughout the flick. But the overriding presence of Darkseid appears to be nonexistent as far as we can tell. Also, there’s still sadly no hint or mention of Superman either. But that is apparently what drives Batman to put the team together – which we already know – as per the movie’s plot summary:

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

Justice League hits theaters November 17th. No Martha’s were harmed in the making of this latest trailer.
