The Witcher 3 is a special game – no doubt about it. While the core game came out in 2015 (and cleaned up throughout awards season), CD Projekt RED is still putting out quality DLC that is keeping fans satiated. Their next release for the game, “Blood and Wine”, is looking so good it’s making grown men froth at the mouth.
Take VPDaily’s Patrick Sinclair for example. He’ll be reviewing Blood and Wine for us when it releases later this month. Shortly after the latest trailer dropped this afternoon, he was all over it, telling the VPDaily staff just how excited he was for this next offering in The Witcher 3:
While he is Canadian, we shouldn’t hold that against him, eh? He’s just incredibly passionate about The Witcher 3 and the promise that Blood and Wine holds. And why shouldn’t he be? The new trailer touts an entirely new region being introduced into the game’s world. The land is known as Toussaint, and it’s being described as “a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom.” Neat!
While that all sounds well and good, the lede here is that Blood and Wine is said to hold an additional 30 hour plus adventure for The Witcher 3. Here is the rest of the expansion’s description:
“With all trails leading to dead ends, only a witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night. Introducing an entirely new realm to traverse, new characters and monsters, Blood and Wine is a 30+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.”
