WB Games is beginning to roll out video vignettes for all the stars of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Much like his introduction in the film proper, Poe Dameron is first.
Poe is described as a “decorated X-wing pilot” and “one of the Resistance’s most-trusted operatives.” While there will be on foot missions for Poe in the game, according to the trailer it looks as though we may be getting ourselves a nice bit of X-Wing flight combat action as well. Also, we can’t forget about Poe’s side mission in the game where he’s tasked with rescuing Admiral Ackbar. That should be a highlight as well. Watch out for the traps, Poe.
You’ll be hearing plenty of dialogue from the film in the upcoming game. Within the trailer we hear Poe reassuring Finn that he can “fly anything” whilst trying to escape from early in the film. But WB Games touts that the game “also features original dialogue from actor Oscar Isaac who plays Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” How much new dialogue there is remains to be seen…
Here is WB’s tease for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens from their press release today:
“Players can relive the epic action from the blockbuster film in a way that only LEGO can offer, featuring all of the storylines from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, retold through the clever and witty LEGO lens. The game will also feature exclusive playable content exploring New Adventures set in the time leading up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, providing further insight about the new movie and its characters.”
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC on June 28th.
