EA Sports has revealed the results of its annual season simulation powered by NHL 18.

NHL 18 cover athlete Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers wins big with back-to-back wins of three major awards – the Hart Memorial Trophy, the Art Ross Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award.

The Dallas Stars and the Pittsburgh Penguins are the top seeds entering the NHL playoffs, but neither of them makes it to the Stanley Cup final. The season simulator predicts the Tampa Bay Lightning will win over the Edmonton Oilers to take home the Stanley Cup for the first time since the 2004-2005 season.

In their inaugural season, the Vegas Golden Knights fall short a playoff spot finishing 14th overall in the Western Conference.
