Mighty No. 9 - Masterclass Trailer

With less than a month until the release of Mighty No. 9, it’s time for the game to sell itself to those that aren’t already invested as Kickstarter backers. And to do that, they’ve released a new trailer dubbed ‘Masterclass’ to show how the game is perfect for people who like “awesome things that are awesome.”

The new trailer does a great job of conveying exactly how the core aspects of Mighty No. 9 work. It shows off the dash mechanic well, both short and long form, and doubles down on that by displaying how you can effectively use it to combo the hell out of everything on the screen. We also get a quick glimpse at a few of the game’s bosses, a few of the other playable characters, and even a few quick peaks at No. 9 himself switching in between his various abilities.

The game, after several frustrating delays, is now officially hitting shelves on June 21st. It’s landing on nearly every current gaming platform, so if you’re interested in “a side-scrolling action game that takes the best elements from 8- and 16-bit classics you know and love and transforms them with modern tech, fresh mechanics and fan input into something fresh and amazing”, consider picking up Mighty No. 9 next month. Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
