Battle Tendency Trailer

Namco Bandai has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming fighting game JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. The trailer shows off four characters from the popular anime and manga series of the same name that the game is based off. It also shows off the key hook developer CyberConnect2’s latest game which is 2 on 2 battles.

The ‘Chapter One’ trailer for the PlayStation exclusive also reveals that the fighting game will release in Summer 2016 in North America. It will probably hit in the late summer, as it was previously targeted for a Quarter 3 release date which would make July the earliest it would come out.

Check out the action packed Eyes of Heaven trailer below:

Seen in the trailer are four characters from the manga’s first story arc. The playable characters include the protagonist Jonathan Joestar, former street thug Robert E.O. Speedwagon, Will A. Zeppeli, and the villainous Dio Brando.

All of that action in the Eyes of Heaven trailer comes from the game’s very first chapter. Considering there are eight chapters overall, and over 50 playable characters, there’s plenty more to see in the full game. Each individual chapter stars a different member of the Joestar family, as they battle an eccentric cast of characters.

This isn’t the first adaptation of the successful anime series from CyberConnect2, as it’s a sequel to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle which released in 2013 for PlayStation 3. While the sequel released on both PlayStation 3 and 4 in Japan, Bandai Namco is only localizing the PlayStation 4 release in North America. The Japanese studio is no stranger to making anime fighting games as they are behind the highly successful Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series.

We’ll have more on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven as it nears its Summer 2016 release date. Until then you can keep re-watching the Eyes of Heaven trailer to see some of the Joestar crew in action.

Tyler has enjoyed video games, both large and small, ever since he was a child with a Sega Genesis controller in hand. When he isn’t playing through strange retro games like Snoopy’s Silly Sports Spectacular, he can be found meditating under a waterfall to grow his beard or eating pizza. Probably the latter.
