Fire Emblem for Nintendo Switch

Nintendo is finally brining the Fire Emblem series back to home consoles. During the series’ Nintendo Direct yesterday, the company confirmed that a Fire Emblem for Nintendo Switch is on the way.

Step Aside Fire Emblem Warriors, the Switch is Getting a Proper Entry in the Series

But don’t go away, Warriors! We’re pretty excited for you too! It’s just awesome to know that we are getting a “console” version of the series proper too. Nintendo confirmed that Fire Emblem for Nintendo Switch will hit the console in 2018.

This is the first console entry in the series since 2007’s Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Nintendo Wii. That one wasn’t quite a hit – garnering just 78% on Metacritic. The series then shifted to Nintendo’s portable platforms with 2 DS titles and then the trio of games that comprised the Fire Emblem Fates package on Nintendo 3DS.

There wasn’t much to show on Fire Emblem for Nintendo Switch – actually they showed nothing. So hopefully we’ll actually get a glimpse at this title in few months at E3.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
