After a great showing in Los Angeles during E3 this year, it appears Microsoft is going to take a step back while in Cologne next month. Aaron Greenberg, General Manager for Xbox Games Marketing, has confirmed there will be no conference for Microsoft in Germany this year.
Greenberg did promise that Xbox will have a prominent part in the show. There just won’t be a stage presence this go around. Xbox is bringing many of the titles within their 2016 & 2017 portfolio, which include: “Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, ReCore and Sea of Thieves, and a host of ID@Xbox titles including We Happy Few, Everspace and Cuphead.”
Xbox’s General Manager for Games Marketing went on to tout Microsoft’s record-setting E3 showing, and promised to “bring even more of these experiences into the hands of our fans.” So, while Gamescom may be light on the reveals in Microsoft’s camp, they publisher seems poised to deliver a fully fledged fun experience to the fans that venture to Cologne, Germany.
Gamescom runs from August 16th through August 21st. Keep checking in with VPDaily.com and we’ll be sure to relay you all the news as (and if) it breaks.
