In a surprising move Blizzard Entertainment’s new Arena FPS, Overwatch, is coming to consoles. GameStop has received word that Overwatch will be available to PC, PS4 and Xbox One with a $59.99 USD price tag. There was speculation as to whether this game might follow the free to play model which they have been using for Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, but it seems they have decided to take things in this direction with a full fledged retail release. Historically Blizzard has not released games on console but with the success of Diablo 3 on these platforms it makes sense. Overwatch has had a Beta live for the past two weeks and has received positive reviews from players.

The game will launch in the spring of 2016 and we will learn more information at Blizzcon this weekend. Pre-purchasing gets you the noire skin for the character Widowmaker.
