Bayonetta Amiibo

Since every character in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS is intended to have one, we pretty much knew this was coming. Still, it’s nice to finally have some confirmation that it exists in actual plastic. The Bayonetta amiibo is on the way.

Angels and Demons

Yusuke Hashimoto, Direct of Bayonetta 2 over a Platinum Games, dropped the reveal on the company’s blog today. He begins by acknowledging the game’s second anniversary, stating that “we’re coming up on Bayonetta 2’s second anniversary, and what better way to commemorate the occasion than with a new figure?” He then teases, “and what better figure than an amiibo?”

We then get the following image:

That’s about all Mr. Hashimoto could divulge though. They are ”still working hard to get her just right. But I assure you that we’re going to capture everything you know and love about Bayonetta – every detail down to the exact sizes of her glasses and eyes – and bring you an amiibo that’ll meet your every expectation.”

Yusuke Hashimoto wasn’t done though. Before bowing up, he dropped a link to another page on the Platinum Games blog which reveal a bunch of secrets from Bayonetta 2 “that you won’t even find in strategy guides.” If you’re still into the game, checkout the above link to get the goods on “where to buy super-secret items and characters, not to mention where to get more Halos than you could ask for to afford them. You’ll also find Tag Climax move lists for Rodin and Balder.”

We’ll likely get some more information on the Bayonetta amiibo in the near future.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
