PlayStation has let the cat out of the bag in regards to April’s forthcoming free downloads. Via PlayStation Plus, gamers will be getting their hands on A Virus Named Tom (PS Vita), Dead Star (PS4), I Am Alive (PS3), Savage Moon (PS3), Shutshimi (PS Vita) and Zombi (PS4) this month.
A Virus Named Tom originally hit the PC in 2012 and garnered a Metascore of 65. It’s PS Vita brethren hits the portable this month. The Vita will also see Shutshimi hit the device in April. While this title released on Vita back in August 2015, there are only 3 official reviews for it on Metacritic. It did however earn a 78, 85 and 91, so this action game could be one to checkout.
I Am Alive and Savage Moon are your PlayStation 3 offerings. Savage Moon is a tower-defense title that initially hit the PlayStation 3 in 2009 and earned a score of 73. I Am Alive was released almost exactly 4 years ago to the date, and earned a respectable 75 at the time. Here is Ubisoft’s official description:
“One year after a worldwide cataclysmic event that wiped out most of the human race, a man struggles for his survival in a desolate city as he tries to reunite with his long-lost family. In this post-apocalyptic tale, there are no supernatural threats, just an everyman who faces a decaying and hazardous world and humanity’s darkest inclinations. Will you cling to your humanity and help strangers or are you ready to sacrifice others in order to survive?”
Finally, for PlayStation 4, we are getting Dead Star and Zombi this month. Zombi, the port of the Wii U launch game Zombi U, earned a paltry 71 with its efforts. Dead Star, however, is launching on the PlayStation 4 courtesy of PlayStation Plus. So we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
