PlayStation Plus February

Oh, January. It was nice to see you again but we’ve had just about enough. And with February knocking, Sony has announced what PlayStation Plus titles they have in store for us next month.

While Major Nelson reveals Microsoft’s Games with Gold titles via his blog, Sony likes to get all fancy on us and put together a fresh trailer. You can find it at the bottom of the post, but to summarize, here are the two titles we’re getting next month:

Helldivers is the first reveal out of the gate. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, Helldivers wasn’t an overly impressive title, but with a 81 Metascore it was able to secure itself as the “#41 Best PS4 Game of 2015.” Is that good? I can’t tell… It initially hit the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC back in March of 2015 and it’s now available to your catalogue beginning next week via PlayStation Plus.

Secondly this month is Nom Nom Galaxy, an action title by Q-Games that originally released on May 12th. This one didn’t quite fare as well as Helldivers as it resides at a 70 on Metacritic. Q-Games sells Nom Nom Galaxy by saying it “melds many themes of gameplay, with equal elements of classic platforming, mining, construction, resource management, and tower defense.” Maybe a case of a game trying too much? Maybe, but you can download it for free courtesy of PlayStation Plus next month and find out for yourself.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
