Pokémon Go

The Pokémon Company has showered their die-hard fans who signed up for the Pokémon Go field test with some exciting news — the first wave of invites are being sent out today for the Pokémon Go closed beta.

More images and information pertaining to how the player interacts with Pokémon were also revealed, showing ultimately how geolocation will work with one’s mobile device. Not only are testers going to be able to experience this first hand, but over a hundred Pokémon will be available to capture.

Additionally, located around the world are Gyms that players can conquer and have a Pokémon of their choosing help defend. When a player runs out of Pokéballs or other essential items, PokéStops will also be around to replenish their stash.

The world is basically a giant Safari Zone with Pokémon Go, and the best part is, it’ll be free-to-play due to its additional in-app purchases.
