The three balls of fur shown in the picture above are the confirmed starter companions for the two upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games, at least according to a trailer recently uploaded to the Official Pokémon Channel on YouTube.
The owl-looking Rowlet, the feline Litten, and the seal Popplio, respectively a grass-flying, fire, and water type Pokèmon will accompany the player through the Alola region, an Hawaiian-looking new part of the world that has been briefly showcased in the same video. Game footage is not final, it seems, so the locations might be subjected to change but for now we can confirm that the game will be set on an island featuring cities, smaller villages and even a volcano.
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are scheduled for release on November 18, 2016. With multiple conventions around the corner, we can easily speculate that Nintendo will be showing us more of the game in the months to come. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer here and get on the hype train with us.
