Great news Double Fine fans. Sometime this afternoon, Psychonauts 2 hit its crowdfunding goal of $3.3 million. That’s right, we’re getting a new Psychonauts game!

Double Fine Productions took to startup company Fig in order to procure funding for Psychonauts 2. Fig crowdfunding allows for users to actually invest in a project, rather than simply donating. Tim Schafer, president and CEO of Double Fine, serves on the Fig advisory board.

At the time of writing, their Fig campaign sits at $3,349,210. The campaign has another five days before completion.

Tim Schafer had this to say: “Holy Smokes! We did it you guys! Psychonauts 2 is now fully funded! We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for making this possible. We’ve wanted to make this game for a long time, and now we finally can! So thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Psychonauts 2  was announced last December during The Game Awards. Double Fine also included a video thanking their backers. You can watch it below.
