PLAYERUNKNOWN’S Battlegrounds has taken the gaming world by storm so far in 2017. Just a few weeks ago at Gamescom, PUBG creator Brendan Greene confirmed the game had sold 8 million copies since its release back in March. 2 weeks later, Brendan was thanking fans for helping the game sell over 10 million copies. That’s over 2 million sales in 2 weeks!
PUBG’s Next Update Includes The Mini-14 Assault Rifle
Having recently passed Dota 2 to grab the top spot on Steams concurrent players chart, PUBG developers Bluehole are rolling out the updates to keep their massive following playing. The latest update will include foggy weather, FPP leaderboards, bug fixes, and most importantly, the Mini-14 Assault Rifle.
The compact Mini-14 appears to be based on the Mini-14GB, but it is unclear just how similar the gun in the game will be to its real life counterpart. The Mini-14 shoots 5.56mm bullets and can hold 20/30 bullets in a box magazine. It can be safe to assume the Mini-14 will be fully compatible with the games existing attachments, including the extended mag, the 4x & 8x scopes and the suppressor.
The semi-automatic assault rifle will be available as random loot all across the map, with previous new guns being released as crate-only weapons displeasing fans. As we all know, there’s nothing worse than battling 2 squads for a crate, losing 2 of your teammates in the process, using up all of your meds and losing position in circle, then opening the crate to find a Tommy Gun. It’s heartbreaking.
The PUBG community has been crying out for another random spawn assault rifle, and as of next week, they will finally get their wish. Let’s just hope we don’t have another VSS on our hands.
