Pulse is an upcoming survival title from Pixel Pi. It’s unique in the fact that our protagonist, Eva, was blinded at a young age. As you traverse the game world, you “see” the environment through sound.

Pixel Pi describes it as “a first-person expericence like no other,” and I suppose that’s true. But we’ll find out for ourselves soon enough – Pulse has just been set for release on October 20th. Here’s the studio’s description of their game:

“Dive into this truly unique game that puts you in the shoes of a girl named Eva, who lost her sight at a young age and must “see” the world through sound. Using this ability, and with help from the spirits of the forest, explore the forbidden paths once walked by your ancestors and discover the truth. Step into a world on the edge of collapse. Earthquakes shudder through the land, but why? ”

With the official release date for Pulse also comes a new trailer. Appreciate your eyes and click play below to see just what’s in-store for us in Eva’s sightless world…

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
