In a bit of sad (yet, unsurprising) news, Quantum Break has been delayed into 2016. Quantum Break is Remedy Games’ new third-person shooter where the player is able to manipulate time. The game will also have a story that runs alongside a live-action TV series.

According to Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake, the extra time will allow the developer to add a bit of polish. “we are very proud to be part of the amazing line-up Xbox One. We thank our fans for their patience, and we want them to know that the team takes this opportunity to polish and refine the game to create an entertainment experience out of the ordinary” said Lake.

This isn’t the first time Quantum Break’s 2015 release window has been called into question. Back in November 2014, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said he wasn’t sure if the company would be able to ship all the releases it had scheduled for fall 2015.

Quantum Break was originally slated for release in 2014 on Xbox One before it was delayed into 2015 and now into 2016. While a shame we have to wait a little loner, I know that Quantum Break is in good hands with Remedy … now if only we can get that Alan Wake sequel.
