Ubisoft has announced that the newest DLC for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has been delayed. Operation Black Ice will now be released on February 2 for Season Pass holders.
This information comes from Siege’s Twitter page in response to a user’s inquiry.
Operation Black Ice was originally supposed to come out this month as the start of Rainbow Six Siege’s four “seasons” of content which are slated to release over the course of 2016.
Operation Black Ice will include two new operators from the Canadian Joint Task Force 2 counter-terrorism unit (what’s good, ay?) and a new map. Also included will be some new weapon skins and gameplay tweaks.
While everyone will eventually get access to the map and the operators, season pass holders will have early access to the operators for seven days and can instantly add them to their roster upon release.
Our own Amanda Bower reviewed Rainbow Six Siege. She said that the game “provided an excellent challenging experience. The tactical gameplay has shown me the light, constantly badgering me with the reality that you cannot just frivolously sprint into combat.”
