The Game Awards - Oculus Announcement

The Game Awards are being hosted by Geoff Keighley on December 5th. There’s a slew of teases and reveals planned for the event, and now it appears Oculus is jumping in.

Keighley took to his Twitter account yesterday afternoon to announce that Oculus VR founder, Palmer Luckey, would be making an announcement at the show:

A couple of hours later, Luckey himself took to the Twittersphere to confirm the news. Unfortunately, he simultaneously dashed hopes that it would be an announcement of preorders being available:

We’ll have to wait until Thursday to get the full scoop. But as of now we do know of a few juicy morsels headed our way. We’re going to get world premieres for Quantum Break, Mortal Kombat, Far Cry Primal and many more. Let the speculation begin as to what Oculus has inline for us.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
