While people were trying to theorize witty “R” words to tack onto the next Red Dead game, Rockstar decided instead to keep it simple. It’s Red Dead Redemption 2, people.
“Where We’re Going, We Don’t Need Roads.”
Rockstar just dropped the news on their official website a few minutes ago. They shared the same image as yesterday of our 7 ominous cowboys. But also plastered the logo for the game onto it as well. Take a look:
The posting was short, with nary a real detail about the game proper to be had. Although, that will change when we get our first trailer for the game on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern. Rockstar did reveal that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be available for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the Fall of 2017. Meaning that PC owners are going to have to wait on this one too it would appear.
Rockstar also wrote that the western was “An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.” I take that as Red Dead Online being official.
Check back here on Thursday when the trailer drops for some immediate impressions.
