Red Dead Redemption 2 - Trailer

We interrupt this morning of incredible trailers to bring you… another trailer. As promised, Rockstar released their first look at Red Dead Redemption 2 today. And, well, she’s a looker…

“You Gotta Run and Don’t Look Back”

See that quote above? That’s about all we know about Red Dead Redemption 2. Who would have thought in the days leading up to October 20th, that Rockstar would be a footnote? Well, that’s just my opinion, but today’s trailer kind of went out with a whimper.

I’m just as excited for this game as everyone else, but there was nothing divulged today to make me gush. Maybe it’s just sensory overload from the amazing morning we’ve had. Or maybe, there just wasn’t much to this trailer.

The game is breathtakingly gorgeous as seen by some of the trailer’s shots. The natural environments and scenic vistas are a sight to behold for sure. But that’s all we really have at this point – sights. We got nothing as far as plot, or even a main character. We have a few quick frames of our 7 cowboys that were already disclosed in the game’s poster. But that’s really it. We know little more about Red Dead Redemption 2 than we did yesterday. Everything else we could have gathered by how great Grand Theft Auto V turned out on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

That’s not to say I’m not still genuinely excited for the game – I am. But in a day where you got to put up or shut up, Rockstar is being muffled. Regardless, you have it watch it. You know the game’s going to be great and this is just the beginning of what we’ll see from it. Red Dead Redemption 2 is headed to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 Fall 2017.

Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
