For the first time since 2009’s NCAA Basketball 2010, we might see the inclusion of college basketball in a sports game.

It’s been reported that 2K Sports has gained the license to at least 10 collegiate universities and its teams according to a tweet by ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

To go one step further, the Collegiate Licensing Company, a clearinghouse that handles licensing for all sorts of products and promotions for universities showed records that 2K has licenses to make video games for a number of schools.

So far, the schools 2K has licensed are:

  •  Arizona
  • Arizona State
  • Connecticut
  • Georgetown
  • Kansas
  • Louisville
  • Michigan
  • Texas
  • UCLA
  • Villanova
  • Wisconsin

If there are indeed collegiate basketball teams in NBA 2K16 don’t expect any named players to be available. You’re only going to get player numbers and jerseys for the available schools.

NBA 2K16 is scheduled to be released on September 29 across all platforms.
