Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster

Capcom has revealed exactly when we’ll be jumping back to the beginning of the Resident Evil franchise with Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster. Neil Gortz posted on the company’s blog to reveal the launch date as well as some preorder bonuses:

“Have your tickets ready, as the journey of the Ecliptic Express in Resident Evil Zero begins January 19th 2016! Now remastered, the game will be equipped with fully enhanced visuals and sound effects, bringing its spine-chilling terror to a whole new level.”

Although you’ll have to wait until January 19th to play Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster, you can preorder it as of today to get “cool alternate costumes for Rebecca and Billy.” Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster isn’t just a reskinned version though. It will also bring modern controls into the game as well as a new Wesker Mode that lets you play through the game as the series’ iconic villain.

Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster will be available digitally for $19.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Steam. However, to get a physical copy, you’ll have to purchase that physically as part of the Resident Evil Origins Collection that is coming to retail on January 19th as well.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
